What this stopwatch stores, and where it stays.

The stopwatch does not ask for an account and does not upload your session names, lap labels or timing results to an application server. There are no analytics or advertising scripts in this version.

Active session: this tab

Session storage holds your current time, running state, clock checkpoint, session name and lap results. This supports recovery when the same tab reloads. Separate tabs have independent active sessions; a browser’s Duplicate tab command may start with a copy that then runs independently. Closing a tab normally removes its active session, although browser session-restore features may retain it.

Saved sessions and preferences

Local storage holds your theme preference and up to 20 sessions that you explicitly save. These saved sessions are shared between tabs in the same browser profile on this site. Use Delete on an individual saved session or Delete all saved sessions to remove history. Reset clears the active session; it does not delete saved history.

Offline files

A service worker caches the app’s static pages, scripts, styles and icons for offline access. It does not cache a server copy of your results. Browser settings, private browsing, storage limits or clearing site data can disable or remove local history and offline files. Export anything you want to keep.

Hosting and downloaded files

The hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details and security logs when serving this site. This is separate from the stopwatch’s local results. CSV files are saved to the download location you choose, and copying results places them on your device’s clipboard.
